Book reviews

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

This is my very first experience with Colleen Hoover. Since I am following a lot of online book shops and avid readers, I have been hearing a lot about her novels. I even so much as attempted to google what would be a good first CoHo read.

In my research, It Ends With Us tops most lists. And I am not disappointed. I started this book one Saturday, expecting to find romance and heartbreak. What I was not prepared for though is the depth of emotions present in the story.

I cannot reveal a lot about the plot because I think it is best for you to find out about it once you start reading. But what I can say is that the story is very possible to happen in real life — if it’s not already happening. Maybe in some way, shape or form, the theme already exists in my life. Which makes it even more compelling to read.

I give this book 4.5 stars. I honestly believe it’s one book I will never forget. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from Colleen Hoover.

To you dear reader, I share this:

“Cycles exists because they are excruciating to break. It takes an astronomical amount of pain and courage to disrupt a familiar pattern. Sometimes it seems easier to just keep running in the same familiar circles, rather than facing the fear of jumping and possibly not landing on your feet.”

– Colleen Hoover, It Ends With Us

I am one with you in your quest to end your own excruciating cycle. Maybe not like in the novel, but a cycle all the same.
