I read Karyn Bosnak’s What’s Your Number late last year. And if you are thinking about the romantic comedy movie starring swoon-worthy Chris Evans and the ever-charming Anna Faris, then you got it right. The movie is actually based on a novel.
Admittedly, there are too many details different from the movie, but still a great read. Karyn Bosnak’s humor will have you laughing out loud while you read.
As expected, the book gave me more background detail. And more depth to the characters, if I’m being honest. My last favorite would be Wade’s part. Then the part where I cried the most would be Matt’s.
Anyway, I love the movie. It’s one of my favorites. I’m a sucker for light rom-com films. Plus, who could resist Chris Evans?? Come on! Also, I love Anna Faris! I listen to her podcast. Unqualified.
Well, now that I’ve read the book, I can say the movie and the novel are entirely different entities. Seeing the movie doesn’t mean you won’t get anything new and exciting from the book, and vice versa. I give this read 3.5 stars.
Ohh, side note. I got the book on sale. A steal for such a feel-good and funny read.
